- Robin Hood was a legendary hero who lived in Sherwood Forest in England. He was known for stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. Robin Hood was a skilled archer and swordsman, and he and his band of Merry Men outwitted the Sheriff of Nottingham in many daring adventures. It is not known if he was a real person.
