Fun Facts

  • The idea of Starship was first mentioned in 2005.
  • The combined launch vehicle, Super Heavy (the booster) and Starship will weigh more and have more power than the Saturn V or SLS rockets.
  • It will be able to lift a 100 people or a 100 tonnes of cargo into low Earth orbit (LEO).
  • The plans for Starship include a version to help with Moon landings, and also to travel to and from Mars.
