In North America, hawks refers to several groups of raptors, but “true hawks” are limited to a scientific family Accipitrinae. At times other birds of prey have the word ‘hawk’ in their name. They are capable, intelligent and fast birds, showing great skill and ability in the way they pursue their prey.
