  • The average thunderstorm cloud will weigh around 563,200,000 pounds!
  • Meteorologists classify clouds primarily by their appearance.
  • Water vapour (which clouds are made from) is lighter than the air, so enough has to collect together for any rain drops to overcome gravity and fall.
  • Clouds are formed when relatively moist air rises.
