- Towers played an important role for castles, providing a higher line of sight to spot or defend an enemy invading force. Some even had smaller raised sections called turrets, which looked like small towers stacked on the bigger ones below.

- Consider whether some towers need additional turrets to get a better vantage point
- Shape the land to ensure the towers are stable and secure
