Getting into Orbit
- Mission
- Launch a rocket into space and return safely
- Rocket Stages
- Build a Rocket
- Launch the Rocket
- Reach Orbit
- Reenter the atmosphere
- Land the Rocket
- For something to be in orbit, it acts like a falling object that never reaches the ground because of the curve of the planet or moon. Because of this, we find each planet or moon has a minimum speed needed to reach a stable orbit.
- Draw your rocket in orbit around a planet.

- Rocket Building
- Built in the Vertical Assembly Building (VAB)
- A flight that reaches space, but doesn't stay in orbit is called a sub-orbital spaceflight.
- A flight that reaches one full orbit around Earth is called an orbital spaceflight, and is required for us to place satellites or spaceprobes in orbit, and is needed for space stations.
