class=\"class-box\">\r\n\t<ul>\n<li>The name <strong>Procyon <\/strong>means &#8220;<strong>before the dog<\/strong>&#8220;, because it <strong>rises before Sirius<\/strong> in the night sky, the <strong>dog star<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Though <strong>suggested in 1844<\/strong>, it wasn&#8217;t until <strong>1896 <\/strong>that the <strong>smaller star<\/strong> of the system was <strong>found<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Procyon B<\/strong>, the <strong>white dwarf<\/strong>, is <strong>not as heavy<\/strong>, but is<strong> physically bigger<\/strong> than Sirius B.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>main star<\/strong> is about to <strong>start expanding<\/strong> in size, as it is just reaching the <strong>subgiant stage<\/strong> because it now has a <strong>helium
