It <strong>hasn&#8217;t been filled in<\/strong>, and it is <strong>largely untouched<\/strong> by any other process on Earth. It likely <strong>formed two to three million years ago<\/strong>, and covers over a <strong>100 square miles<\/strong>. Though the original volcano is <strong>long gone<\/strong>, it likely stood to <strong>over 15,000 ft<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading class=\"class-box\">\r\n\t<ul>\n<li>The crater is one of <strong>three <\/strong>in the <strong>same range of volcanic mountains<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>It is the <strong>only national park<\/strong> in Tanzania where <strong>humans and animals<\/strong> are able to <strong>live and work<\/strong> together.<\/li>\n<li>A big variety of <strong>animals <\/strong>live in the crater, including <strong>herds of wildebeest and lions<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The crater includes <strong>Lake Magadi<\/strong> which is an <strong>alkaline <\/strong>lake.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>name Ngorongoro<\/strong> comes from the <strong>sound <\/strong>of the <strong>cowbell <\/strong>used by the <strong>Maasi <\/strong>&#8211; <strong><em>ngoro
