It has an <strong>unusual, ellipsoid shape<\/strong>, <strong>two moons<\/strong> and a <strong>ring<\/strong>, the only one discovered around a dwarf planet. class=\"class-box\">\r\n\t<ul>\n<li>Haumea is likely to have its unusual <strong>shape <\/strong>because of an <strong>ancient impact<\/strong> that <strong>partly destroyed Haumea<\/strong>, ejecting parts into space to become the <strong>moons <\/strong>and <strong>other Trans-Neptunian Objects<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Its <strong>rings <\/strong>were discovered in <strong>2017 <\/strong>because of Haumea <strong>moving in front of a star<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Who <strong>discovered <\/strong>Haumea has also been <strong>debated<\/strong>, as at least <strong>one team<\/strong> is known to have <strong>accessed data of another team&#8217;s<\/strong> records.<\/li>\n<li>Haumea sits in a <strong>part of the sky<\/strong> that <strong>wasn&#8217;t explored thoroughly<\/strong> by earlier astronomers looking for planets, which is why its discovery has taken so long.<\/li>\n<li>A <strong>good amateur telescope<\/strong> can <strong>see
