They are <strong>formed in layers<\/strong>, made from material, both <strong>mineral <\/strong>and <strong>organic<\/strong>, that sits on the <strong>floor of oceans<\/strong>, <strong>lakes <\/strong>and <strong>rivers<\/strong>.
