It is also the star that is&nbsp;<strong>least like a sphere<\/strong>&nbsp;in our Milky Way, being&nbsp;<strong>squashed flat<\/strong>&nbsp;by the&nbsp;<strong>great speed<\/strong>&nbsp;with which constellation Eridanus is seen as a river in the sky.<\/li>\n<li>Achernar is one of the&nbsp;<strong>top ten brightest stars<\/strong>&nbsp;in the night sky, however it&nbsp;<strong>cannot be seen<\/strong>&nbsp;from places&nbsp;<strong>futher north<\/strong>&nbsp;on our planet.<\/li>\n<li>It is&nbsp;<strong>3,000 times<\/strong>&nbsp;brighter (more luminous) than our sun.<\/li>\n<li>The speed of the stars spin is about&nbsp;<strong>185 miles per second<\/strong>, which means it looks&nbsp;<strong>squashed<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Its diameter around the&nbsp;<strong>equator<\/strong>&nbsp;is&nbsp;<strong>35% wider<\/strong>&nbsp;than around the poles because of the great speed of its
