class=\"class-box\">\r\n\t<ul>\n<li>Both &#8220;<strong>aur<\/strong>&#8221; and &#8220;<strong>ur<\/strong>&#8221; are Germanic or Celtic words meaning &#8220;<strong>wild ox<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/li>\n<li>They were shaped with&nbsp;<strong>stronger front legs<\/strong>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<strong>front part of the torso<\/strong>&nbsp;compared to the back, different to&nbsp;<strong>modern cattle<\/strong>&nbsp;which are&nbsp;<strong>more equally balanced<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>They were used as&nbsp;<strong>fighting<\/strong>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<strong>battle animals by the Romans<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The reasons for their&nbsp;<strong>extinction<\/strong>&nbsp;include&nbsp;<strong>hunting and loss of habitat<\/strong>, the least known auroch&nbsp;<strong>dying in
