Formed from <strong>pure calcium carbonate marble<\/strong> that dates back <strong>300 million years<\/strong>, these <strong>stunning turquoise caverns<\/strong> and <strong>delicate pillars<\/strong> were sculpted entirely by the patient, relentless <strong>wave action of General Carrera Lake<\/strong>. Because the <strong>glacier-fed water<\/strong> is exceptionally <strong>pure<\/strong>, it casts <strong>brilliant blue reflections<\/strong> onto the <strong>twisting white-and-blue stone ceilings<\/strong>, creating a <strong>surreal underground labyrinth<\/strong> that looks straight out of a <strong>fantasy movie<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n<h4 class=\"class-box\">\r\n\t<ol>\n<li data-list=\"bullet\">The entire cave system is carved out of massive blocks of solid marble that are 94% pure calcium carbonate.<\/li>\n<li data-list=\"bullet\">For 15,000 years, waves from the giant lake have splashed against the rock, slowly dissolving the marble to create smooth pillars, tunnels, and arches.<\/li>\n<li data-list=\"bullet\">The color of the water changes depending on the season and melting glaciers!
