Geologically, it is built primarily of ancient limestone and flint -formed from prehistoric sea deposits &#8211; interspersed with <strong>volcanic rock <\/strong>and riddled with <strong>water-carved caves<\/strong>. These limestone caves serve as an <strong>incredible archaeological time capsule<\/strong> preserving <strong>thousands of years of human history<\/strong>.
