As one of the largest temperate rainforests in the U.S., it gets hammered with over 12 feet of rain annually, fueling a neon-green explosion of moss, ferns, and massive ancient trees.<\/li>\n<li>It\u2019s most famous for the <strong>Hall of Mosses<\/strong>, where towering Sitka spruces look like they\u2019re wearing shaggy green sweaters. Between the prehistoric vibes and the roaming Roosevelt elk, it feels less like a standard hiking trail and more like a glitch in the Matrix where nature dialed the &#8220;saturation&#8221; up to That is enough water to completely cover a two-story house!<\/li>\n<li>When a giant tree falls, it doesn&#8217;t just disappear. It becomes a <strong>nurse log<\/strong>, where new baby trees grow right on top of its trunk to get nutrients.<\/li>\n<li>There is a famous place here called &#8220;One Square Inch of Silence.&#8221; It is considered one of the quietest places in the U.S. because it&#8217;s so far away from roads and city noise.<\/li>\n<li>The &#8220;hair&#8221; you see hanging from the branches is mostly <strong>Clubmoss<\/strong>.
