Running for about <strong>nine miles<\/strong> along the <strong>western coast of County Clare<\/strong>, these magnificent cliffs are made of <strong>rock layers <\/strong>that were formed <strong>over 300 million years ago<\/strong> from <strong>river sediment<\/strong>. That&#8217;s higher than the tallest tower in some cities!<\/li>\n<li>The cliffs are a huge &#8220;apartment building&#8221; for birds, with over <strong>30,000 pairs<\/strong> nesting there.
