- Corythosaurus is one of the lambosaurid hadrosaurs, a group of vegetation eating dinosaurs that likely lived in herds. Skin impressions have been found, along with more than 20 skulls, showing who its semicircular crest changed through the life of the animal. There have been a number of ideas about its environment and characteristics that have changed over the years.

Fun Facts
- The name Corythosaurus means “helmet lizard” from Greek, and is based on the similarity of the crest to an ancient Greek soldier’s helmet.
- It used to be thought that it was an aquatic animal, and some had thought it had webbed feet and could breathe through it’s crest, but that has now been shown to be incorrect.
- It likely made low sounds through its crest that traveled long distances .
- Skin impressions have been found for this dinosaur, right from the first fossil discovered!
