- Roadrunners are famous for being quick and clever thanks to the Looney Toons cartoon character, but though they are quick, they are not as fast as they are depicted in the cartoon. They also don't make the same "meep meep" sound.

- The roadrunner is actually slower than a coyote, but can make speeds of 20 mph or more.
- It leaves an "X" shaped track that makes it look like it could have run either direction.
- The roadrunners live in arid conditions, and eat a variety of things, including insects, lizards and fruits and seeds.
- The have a way of lowering their body temperature when it is too hot, and saving energy when its colder.
