- Pluto was considered the ninth planet of our solar system for many years, until it was decided in 2006 that a new definition of dwarf planet should be applied to it. It was visited in 2015 by the New Horizons mission, revealing a tremendous amount of information about it.
- What important things did the New Horizons mission reveal about Pluto.

- Located in
- Solar System, orbiting the Sun
- Pluto is in the Kuiper belt, an area of objects that are beyond Neptune, and contian other dwarf planets and small objects.
- Its orbit takes it inside Neptune's orbit for a short time, but never is it at risk of colliding with Neptune.
- Pluto has 5 moons, and one of which, Charon, is large enough to cause it to form a special orbital arrangement where they face each other permanently.
- Its atmosphere is though to freeze during part of its orbit, and then unfreeze when it gets slightly closer to the sun.
