- Though it starts shallow at around 43 feet deep, it becomes almost as deep as the cliffs are tall, reaching 1,300 feet below sea level.
- The tall Preikestolen cliff rises dramatically over one end of the fjord, being over 1,980 feet tall at its highest point.
